Sara Allen joined CIU in the fall of 2017 and heads into her sixth season as the Rams' first-ever head softball coach. Upon arriving at CIU, Allen was tasked with building the softball program from the ground up. After overseeing the construction of the softball field in 2017 and 2018, Allen led the Rams into their inaugural season in the spring of 2019.
Since Allen's arrival at CIU, her teams have seen several significant achievements. Her 2020 squad was named an NCCAA Scholar-Team, while they were also honored by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) as the AAC Women's Champions of Character team.
During the 2021 season, Allen's team made great strides on the field of competition as the Rams received their first national ranking in school history as they were tabbed as the No. 9 team in the NCCAA on March 2, 2021 edition of the NCCAA Top 10 rankings. The Rams continued a solid third season of competition as they reached their first-ever postseason as they competed in the first round of the AAC Tournament.
The 2021 season was highlighted by strong individual play as the Rams added their first NCCAA All-Americans in program history in the form of Tanaya Ellis and Shannon Patton. Patton was also named First Team All-AAC, while the Rams' Robyn Andrews was recognized by the NFCA as she was added to the NAIA Region I First Team.
The 2022 season saw the Rams take another step forward with their best season to date, posting a program-best 27 wins, winning their first NCCAA South Region title, and ending the season No. 7 in the NCCAA postseason rankings. The Rams also clinched a spot in the NCCAA Softball World Series as the No. 3 seed, where they had a magical run, finishing runner-up in their first appearance in program history.
Under Allen's leadership, three players were named to the NCCAA All-South Region team, while Allen was deemed NCCAA South Region Coach of the Year. Creel was also recognized by the NAIA as she was tabbed NFCA NAIA All-Region at third base. In addition, Haylee Wilkerson and Lauren Baker were also named to the NCCAA Softball World Series All-Tournament Team during their historic World Series run.
While 2023 saw less team success than the previous season, the Rams still went 18-24 overall and had several individual accolades. Most notably, senior Lauren Baker won the NCCAA's Deb Thompson Award, the highest honor given to an NCCAA Softball Player.
A native of California, Allen was recruited to play for the NCAA Division I University of San Diego (Calif.) softball program. A catcher for the Toreros, Allen was a 3-time All-PCSC honoree and a 3-time USD offensive player of the year. Allen finished her career at USD making 182 starts for the Toreros. She hit 159-503 (.302), with 33 doubles, 12 triples, 12 home runs, 81 RBIs, and 79 runs scored. During her senior season, Allen was named the 2006 PCSC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a 2006 ESPN Co-SIDA Academic All-American.
After her time in San Diego, Allen was a graduate assistant for the softball program at Georgia Southern University from 2006-08. After earning her master's degree from GSU, Allen accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she worked with the Braves before being drawn back west to help build a new NCAA Division I softball program.
In 2009, Allen joined the Weber State University (Utah.) softball program as the lead assistant. The Wildcats were adding softball as an NCAA program, and Allen was involved from the ground up. She was part of a process that recruited a completely new team for the program's inaugural year and was instrumental in the first two foundational seasons at WSU.
In 2016, Allen joined the Montana State University Billings softball program as an assistant coach, with her main responsibilities being the Yellowjacket's primary hitting coach.
During her time, the team ranked sixth in home runs per game in NCAA Division II; her offense was also ranked in the top 50 for total home runs, scoring, and slugging percentage. In that one season, she coached two all-region players.
During her time in Billings, Allen ran the softball program for Triple Play Academy in Billings, Mont., where she provided individual lessons and served as a youth team coach.
Allen holds a 82-138-1 record at the helm for the Rams.
Allen earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of San Diego (Calif.) in 2006 and a master's degree in social and political science from Georgia Southern University in 2008. Allen lives in Columbia with her husband Seth and their two dogs, Louie and Hank.
As part of our COVID-19 safety plan, the indoor sessions traditionally held on the first day of camp will be shared online.
Sessions will be accessible for the week prior to camp. They are available on-demand and can be completed at the athlete's
convenience.
This approach allows us to continue offering these valuable sessions so athletes arrive to camp ready to maximize the experience,
while still maintaining a safe experience.

Oxendine joined the Longwood baseball program in August, 2014 as an assistant coach, becoming the first coaching hire by head coach Ryan Mau, who took over the storied Lancer baseball program in July 2014.
An 11-year coaching veteran, Oxendine serves as Longwoods recruiting coordinator and hitting coach while working with the programs infielders. He returns for his third year at Longwood in 2017, coming off of a breakthrough 2016 season that saw the Lancers record the first 30-win campaign of the Division I era and finish tied for second in the Big South standings.
With Oxendine on staff the past two seasons, Longwood has seen numerous breakout performances at the plate. Among those is slugger Kyri Washington, who led the Big South with 15 home runs as a junior in 2015 and parlayed that success into a 23rd-round draft selection by the Boston Red Sox in the 2015 draft. Washington, who hit just .255 with 13 home runs in two seasons prior to Oxendines arrival, set career highs with a .279 batting average, .357 on base percentage, 52 RBI, 40 runs and 25 walks in just one year under Oxendine.

During his four-year stint at Richmond, Oxendine coached the Spiders catchers, outfielders and baserunners while overseeing a unit that finished in the Atlantic 10s top-five in steals in 2009 and 2010. In addition to Adam McConnell, who led all NCAA rookies with 31 steals in 2009, Oxendine also mentored All-Atlantic 10 catcher Chris Cowell who in 2010 hit .311 with 17 home runs and 52 RBI. Among Oxendines top recruiting successes at Richmond were Chris Bates, a left-handed pitcher selected in the 15th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2010; McConnell, a shortstop who was drafted in the 29th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012; and Cowell, a catcher drafted in the 34th round by the Colorado Rockies in 2012. Quinnipiac
Division 1
Delaney enters his third season as the Quinnipiac baseball head coach after guiding the team to a 21-31 record, their second straight 20-win season.
The Bobcats had two All-MAAC players (Jankins and Batten), two All-New England players (Batten and Iannotti) and one all-Northeast Selection (Batten). In addition, Jankins was drafted in the 13th Round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, the 17th different player to be drafted in the First Year Amateur Player Draft in program history.
In 2015, Delaney tied the Bobcats program record for wins in a season with 29 as he led Quinnipiac to a 29-27 record with a 15-9 record in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play. The Bobcats also finished third in the MAAC, their highest regular season finish in the conference and highest since winning the Northeast Conference regular season championship in 2007, when Delaney was a player on the team.
The Bobcats saw an 11-win improvement from the year before Delaney took over the program and also improved their conference win total by three wins from the previous season. Quinnipiac was also reached as high as a No. 5 ranking among New England college baseball in the NEIBA poll, their first ranking since the 2007 season when they reached a No. 1 ranking.
Five different Quinnipiac players were named to the All-MAAC First Team, two were named to the NEIBA All-New England team and Vincent Guglietti was named to the ABCA/Rawlings First Team during Delaney's first season. Delaney was also nominated for the MAAC Coach of the Year award.
In 2014-15, Delaney was named as the 10th coach in Quinnipiac baseball history, and the fourth at the Division I level. In his first season as an assistant in 2013, Delaney helped guide the Bobcats to an eight-game improvement from the previous year. Delaney was elevated to associate head coach for the 2014 season, which will be Quinnipiac's first season competing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Delaney finished his playing career in 2008, collecting four-straight All Northeast Conference honors, including a First Team selection in each of his last three years with the Bobcats. He was later drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft, playing three seasons before retiring. Delaney was rated as one of the top third-base prospects in the organization, and was honored with the "Hardest Worker Award" at the Brewers' 2009 Spring Training.
Delaney returned to his alma mater after stops at Sacred Heart University in 2010 and with the University of Hartford in 2011. Delaney completed his Quinnipiac career with 206 hits, good for fourth place all-time at Quinnipiac, while also totaling 34 doubles, tying him with former teammate Wilson Matos '06 for third place all-time. As a senior in 2008, Delaney led the Bobcats in most offensive categories including home runs (9), runs batted in (40), hits (66), runs scored (49), at-bats (196), batting average (.337), doubles (15), slugging percentage (.571) and triples (2). In addition, his .357 (20-56) batting average with runners in scoring position and 13, two-out RBI's also led the team. Delaney posted a team-best 20 multiple-hit games, including seven games with three or more. His 12 multiple-RBI games also led the Bobcats while his 15 doubles ranked sixth all-time with his 66 hits ranking as the fifth most in Quinnipiac history in a single season.
Since its start as an intercollegiate sport in 1954, Quinnipiac's baseball program has had nine head coaches all-time. Harry Godi was the first coach in program history, compiling a 69-30-2 record from 1954 through 1960. Burt Kahn coached the team for the 1961 and 1962 seasons before Jim Kroll took the reins from 1964 through 1966, compiling a 32-25-1 record. Kahn and Rudy Raffone held co-head coach duties for the 1967 season before Alan Basney ran the club for the 1968 season. After a two-year stint by Harry Brown that produced a 29-20 record for 1969 and 1970, Gooley assumed the role from 1977 through1987, posting a 203-122-5 record in his first stint as Quinnipiac's skipper. Earl Matthewson then led the team for nine years from 1977 through 1996, compiling a 174-134-1 record. In 1997, Joe Mattei was named the program's head coach, and in 1998 became Quinnipiac's first Division I coach. Mattei held the position until the 2002 season when Gooley returned to his alma mater, and has been the Bobcats' head coach since. Gooley has amassed 540 wins for his 28-year career, with 439 coming at Quinnipiac including 234 at the Division I level.

Robbie Dombrowski was named Cornell College's head baseball coach in July 2022.
Dombrowski, a 2018 St. Norbert College graduate and three-year starting catcher for the Green Knights, comes to the Hilltop following successful NCAA Division I coaching stints at University of Evansville and Central Michigan University.
For a young coach, this is an unbelievable opportunity and I cant wait to get started, said Dombrowski, a native of Delafield, Wis. I cant imagine walking into a better situation with administration who care about the program. The people are passionate about Cornell athletics. The closeness of the campus community is also a big thing for me.
Dombrowski served as hitting coach during a break-through 2022 season at Evansville. The Purple Aces finished 32-24 overall, placed second in the Missouri Valley Conference and shattered the school record for home runs in a season with 77. Evansville ranked among the league leaders in all offensive categories and landed four all-MVC players under Dombrowskis guidance.
We are very excited to have Robbie join our team at Cornell, said Cornell Interim Director of Athletics Jeff Meeker. Robbies collection of coaching experiences, his coaching philosophy and familiarity with Midwest Conference baseball stood out. Most impressive is his energy and enthusiasm for leading our baseball team. He has a clear vision for success and his approach will impact the young men in our program.
Dombrowski was Director of Baseball Operations at Central Michigan in 2020-21. CMU won the 2021 Mid-American Conference and advanced to the regional final, bowing out with a 42-18 record.
Dombrowski was a four-year letterwinner and two-time team captain at St. Norbert. As a junior, he played a key role on the Green Knights record-breaking 2017 squad that won the MWC Tournament, qualified for the NCAAs and finished 30-13. Dombrowski compiled career totals of 101 hits, 73 RBIs and 61 runs.
St. Norbert won 94 games and finished 47-17 in MWC play during Dombrowskis four playing seasons in De Pere, Wis. The Green Knights claimed MWC North Division titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Dombrowski played for Tom Winske, the MWCs all-time leader for baseball coaching wins.
I think my experience in the Midwest Conference is going to pay dividends, Dombrowski said. My expectation is to win the thing regularly. I know the talent is there to do it. Cornell has the foundation in place.
Dombrowski was a member of the Deans List and an academic all-MWC performer. He also earned two varsity letters in football for the Green Knights.
Dombrowski earned bachelors degrees from St. Norbert in biopsychology and communication and media studies. He obtained his masters in sports administration from Belhaven (Jackson, Miss.) University in 2020.
Dombrowski served as hitting and catching coach at Belhaven (2018-19). He returned to St. Norbert in 2019-20 as assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator.
Dombrowski was head coach for collegiate summer teams in the Dairyland Collegiate League, Ohio Valley League and Western Canadian Baseball League. His 2021 team, the Creek Mapaches, won the Dairyland Collegiate League.
Dombrowski attended Kettle Moraine High School in Wales, Wis. He led his prep baseball team to the 2013 state tournament and played in the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star Classic.
Dombrowski is motivated to continue his winning ways by instilling a fun culture on and off the field at Cornell.
I want every kid that comes through our program to feel that theyve had the most fun playing baseball in their life, Dombrowski said. They can expect a high-energy guy that will give them my best effort every day. I want them to know this is their program, just as much as it is mine. I want them to see their full potential.
There are no limits for Cornell College baseball. We can take this thing as far as we want to go. I want our players to believe that.

In 2018, Rouse guided Salem to their best winning percentage since the program's move to NCAA Division II.
"We are thrilled to welcome Addison Rouse to our Saint Xavier Athletics team," said Allison Kern, Director of Athletics at Saint Xavier. "Our program has a storied history and Coach Rouse distinguished himself from an impressive pool of candidates throughout the search process."
"Coach Rouse has a reputation in the baseball community as an individual of integrity who develops his student-athletes on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Countless individuals spoke to his superior knowledge of the game, and his talent as a recruiter. I am confident that Coach Rouse's experience and positive energy will translate to elite baseball."
"On behalf of me and my family, I am truly honored and humbled to be Saint Xavier University's next head baseball coach," added Rouse. "We know that this is a baseball program with a rich history, invested alumni, supportive community, and championship-caliber expectations."
"We ask for your support, care, and acceptance into the Cougar family; this is a bold and brave move for our family, with God leading the way as we strive to follow His mission and purpose for our life. We are prepared, eager, and all-in on SXU. Family is our creed; culture is what we do. Championships are what we will win."
Prior to Salem, Rouse was head coach at Eastern Nazarene College (Mass.), where he led his players to multiple All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selections and the CCAC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Rouse graduated from Brescia University (Ky.), where as a student-athlete he won a KIAC championship and had two appearances in the NAIA tournament as a KIAC All-Academic Team selection.
