Soccer Press BoxThe current soccer facility was built in 2001 south of West Campus Drive, across the street from The Meadows Golf Course. The playing surface is natural grass and an exterior fence was added in 2002 to completely enclose the facility.

In 2006, an enclosed press box was constructed along the east side of the field, with media operations on the top level and a storage shed below. Lights were also installed to allow for night games in Allendale.

The current soccer field was host to the Laker soccer team's first home televised game during the 2010-2011 season. In 2012 GVSU added the south building, the soccer team now has access to home and visitor locker rooms, a weight training area and an athletic training room all adjacent to the soccer field.

Soccer FIeldIn 2018, the facility had a video board installed on the south side, establishing the first soccer-specific videoboard for any college or university in the state of Michigan and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The board, built near the southwest corner of the field, stands at 14'7 3/4" tall by 28'8 5/8" wide.

Above the videoboard, which also serves as an LCD scoreboard, is a decorative truss featuring an illuminated GV logo. The board emanates 21,000 watts and is capable of displaying still images, motion videos with sound, and a live camera feed – complete with on-command replay capability - to enrich the game day experience at GVSU soccer matches and add yet another reason for the student athletes to be proud to call the GVSU Soccer Field home.

The Laker soccer team has won a Division II record seven national championships (2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019, 2021).
