Grappone Stadium

Grappone Stadium is the centerpiece of the revival of football at Saint Anselm College, but is also home to field hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse and an occasional men’s and women’s soccer game. It allows for a capacity crowd of 4,500, which includes 2,500 in the stadium's grandstand seats. The turf also provides out-of-season teams space to practice outdoors in the winter. A new synthetic field turf surface was installed in 2022.

The stadium is not only one of the most sophisticated in the Northeast-10 Conference, but in NCAA Divisions II and III throughout the Northeast region. The entire superstructure spans 272 feet and is over 70 feet wide. At its highest point, it rises 66 feet into the air and includes a two-story, state-of-the-art press box.

Conveniently located one mile from New Hampshire's Route 114, and a five-minute drive from Route 293 as well as downtown Manchester, N.H., Grappone Stadium has placed Saint Anselm's facilities among the leaders of Division II college football.

Named in honor of John and Ruth Grappone of Concord, N.H., the stadium was built with more than just football in mind. The facility possesses the capacity to host large crowds for outdoor events as well as other civic uses.

Underneath the grandstand, fans will find amenities not usually found in Division II or III football venues. Both home and visiting teams have private locker room space, including restroom and shower facilities. A training area provides for any necessary immediate medical attention.

Patrons will also enjoy designated concession areas as well as the opportunity to stock up on select Saint Anselm football and Saint Anselm College merchandise. The grandstand underbelly also includes private officials and game administration rooms.

The press box at Grappone Stadium may be its most impressive feature. With a secure and private entrance, the press facility rises two floors and includes over 1,500 square feet of work space, providing top amenities such as private radio and television broadcasting booths, private coaches booths and game administration areas.

Print media and sports information also claim private working space and the building also features a 1,400-square-foot President's Box.

Football coaches' offices are located in the lower level of the Carr Center. A new locker room space with 120 new wood lockers was added for the football team in the Sullivan Ice Arena in 2022, along with spaces for women's soccer and women's lacrosse, an athletic training room, equipment room, and laundry facilities.

Considered one of the finest Division II football locker rooms in the entire region, Saint Anselm's locker room features state-of-the-art amenities including hand-made personalized lockers, laundry facilities, equipment room and a new athletic trainers' office.
