Jennings Family Stadium

Jennings Family Stadium was opened in the Fall of 2019 as the home of Christopher Newport field hockey and lacrosse. The multi-purpose field is 130 yards long by 85 yards wide featuring Shaw Sports Artificial Turf. The 1.75" length Spike Zone turf system with a half-inch shock pad was installed by Whiting-Turner (Baltimore) and the new grandstands accommodate up to 1,000 spectators. 

Directions to Jennings Family Stadium:

From Chesapeake, Suffolk and Portsmouth
Follow routes to the Monitor-Merrimack Bridge Tunnel (I-664). Cross the tunnel into Newport News and take Exit 5 to 35th Street and Warwick Blvd. (Route 60 West). After about five miles on Warwick Blvd. (Route 60) make a left turn on Avenue of the Arts. Follow that to a traffic circle and go 3/4 of the way around to Shoe Lane Make the first right turn, on Moore’s Lane, which runs right behind the stadium.

From Norfolk and Virginia Beach
Take I-64 West across the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.  About 10 miles west of the tunnel take Exit 258A (Route 17 South, J. Clyde Morris Blvd.). Continue on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. to Warwick Blvd. Go straight ahead and follow the directions above beginning with Avenue of the Arts.

From Richmond and Northern Virginia
Take I-64 East. Exit at Exit 258 A (Route 17 South, J. Clyde Morris Blvd).  Continue on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. to Warwick Blvd. Go straight ahead and follow the directions in the top paragraph beginning with Avenue of the Arts.

From Northwestern Virginia
Travel to I-95 South the head South around Richmond on I-295 until it meets I-64. Then take I 64 East. Exit at Exit 258 A (Route 17 South, J. Clyde Morris Blvd). Continue on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. to Warwick Blvd. Go straight ahead and follow the directions in the top paragraph beginning with Avenue of the Arts.

From Western Virginia
Depending upon your location travel to I-81 North until it meets I-64 East and then follow I-64 around Richmond (you may elect to take the by-pass I-295 in case of heavy traffic in downtown Richmond. Then take I 64 East. Exit at Exit 258 A (Route 17 South, J. Clyde Morris Blvd).  Continue on J. Clyde Morris Blvd. to Warwick Blvd. Go straight ahead and follow the directions in the top paragraph beginning with Avenue of the Arts.

If you are nearer to U.S. 58, take it East until it meets I-664 heading toward the Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel. Cross the tunnel into Newport News and take Exit 5 to 35th Street and Warwick Blvd. (Route 60 West). After about five miles on Warwick Blvd. (Route 60) make a left turn on Avenue of the Arts.
