The Mercyhurst Athletic Center completed renovations and had its grand opening on September 17th, featuring over 1,000 fans of the Mercyhurst and Erie Communities at women's volleyball. Lll competition facilities on the Mercyhurst campus have now been upgraded through the efforts of the Laker for Life campaign. The renovations to the MAC now include the stage gone, along with the court tuned 90 degrees. The new playing surface also has new, upgraded seating and new video scoreboards. The renovation includes a new lobby and a new Hall of Fame display. The playing surface will be named Owen J. McCormick Court, after Owen McCormick, a major contributor to the Laker for Life Campaign.
