Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium

Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium is home to both the Colby Football and Men's Lacrosse teams. Located in the northeast corner of Colby's campus, the venue was resurfaced with synthetic turf in the summer of 2018 and serves as the site for all practices and homes games for both programs.

It also serves as a practice facility for various varsity sports and intramural programs.  The illuminated turf surface is accessible for games and practices throughout the year and at any time of day.

Seaverns Field is part of Harold Alfond Stadium, which was restored in 2008 and has seating capacity of 2,000. It is surrounded by the 400-meter, 8-lane Alfond Track.  Located behind the stands is a large, grassy area for pre-and post-game tailgating.

“Playing on Mayflower Hill in front of our home crowd is very special.  The surface on Seaverns Field is one of the best around, allowing the Mules to play hard in any weather.  The lights not only allow us to work around class schedules to practice in the early hours of the morning or into the evening, but starting in 2021 we will host our first ever night game in Harold Alfond Stadium.”

The Men's Lacrosse team appreciates the opportunity to practice and play on such a top-quality field that is available to us, regardless of the weather. The elements in Maine allow us to develop our unique style of play, and trusting our surface to do what we expect it to when we expect it to, strengthens our game.  Seaverns Field at Harold Alfond Stadium is a great place to grow our team.
